Crosley 11-100U "bullseye" 1950's This a quote from a poster I have on this radio. "The vintage design of this radio signifies the close of the Art Deco movement and the move towards the minimalist style of the 1950's. Combining value with design, this piece was mass manufactured circa 1950's." With that being said I must add that this model radio is great. It is small and not much taller than a soda can but it delivers a great sound for its size. It's unique design is eye catching in any surrounding. Its large knobs and tuning needle make adjusting the radio easy and fun. I have one that I won't part with. A must have model for collectors. Work Done Radio has been recapped and bad resistors replaced. A new polarized power plug has been installed for safety. Weak tubes have been replaced with strong and the chassis was polished by hand to a shine. Case was cleaned and polished. Chassis was tuned for best reception and sensitivity. That's it. Good Points on radio This radio is mostly original. Obviously the before mentioned capacitors, power plug, and bad resistors are new but the rest is original. The case, with original finish, has no cracks. As far as I can tell the dial pointer and knobs are also original to set. They were very dirty when I got the set but they cleaned up beautifully. Dare I say look like new and in excellent shape. This set still has its original Crosley speaker. See picture on right Crosley name stamped in frame of speaker. It also has its cardboard knob pads behind each knob, its retention spring for its tuning string, and original antenna board back with the correct diagram for this particular color model. The U in 11-100U stand for white case. The gold flaked speaker carpet is in great shape and just did not come across in the pictures. The speaker is intact with the original black insulation sleeve still in good shape. Slightly dried and cracked but not extremely brittle like most you find in this model. The volume control is still tight and turns off and on well. Doesn't show any signs of being worn. The chassis plays strong and the look and size of it keeps your attention. If I didn't have one already I would not be selling this one. Bad Points on radio Case has small chip in rear by right screw mount that is hardly noticeable. See picture on right. Top mount for cardboard back on right is set in. Screw still threads and holds back well. See picture on right. Not a perfect original finish. Some few "bird pecs" and one noticeable scratch on left side. AGAIN, see pictures on right. Shipping Information Willing to ship domestic and international.
